The International Joint Workshop on Slow-to-Fast Earthquakes 2023 was held at the University of Tokyo from September 13 to 15. The workshop consisted of a hybrid oral session and a local poster session. With 158 local participants and 71 online participants, the meeting was a great success. Many participants came from abroad, such as Taiwan, U.S.A., France, Italy. This year, 36 oral presentations including 6 keynote lectures and 79 poster presentations were given onsite, and the discussions were lively. In addition, about 50 people attended the young researchers’ meeting on the 12th, and on the 16th, a field trip to the Boso Peninsula to see terraces formed by past Kanto earthquakes was conducted.
