I’m Ryoko Nakata.

I joined this project from April 2022 as a project researcher at the University of Tokyo. I got my PhD in tremor studies at Hiroshima University in March 2009. Since then, I worked as a project researcher at JAMSTEC, and moved to Tohoku University as an assistant professor.

I am working on numerical simulations of earthquake generation cycles for fast and slow earthquakes in the Nankai Trough and  Japan Trench.
